The trick is to change the number you are dividing by to a whole number 1st, by shifting the decimal point of both numbers to the right: Dividing decimals by the traditional written method no longer serves any educational purpose or practical purpose.
Decimals are applied to provide greater precision to numerical value of a quantity. And also along with this benefit that comes a challenge, which is the fact that carrying out mathematical operations are more complicated with decimals as compared to whole numbers. The procedure for the division of decimals is very comparable to the division of whole numbers. Make the divisor into a whole number by multiplying both it & the dividend by the same number such as 10, 100, 1000 etc... A simple method to do this is to move the decimal point to the right end of the divisor & move the decimal point of the dividend the same number of places.
